Welcome to the Pomeranian Page
The Pomeranian is a dog breed in the spitz family,
classed as a "toy" breed because of their small
size. Pomeranians are very small dogs, weighing from 3 to
7 lb (1.4 to 3.2 kg) according to AKC standards.
The head of the Pomeranian is wedge-shaped with small pointed ears, making it a little fox-like in appearance. Pomeranians' tails are
characterstic of the breed and should be be turned over
the back and carried flat.
Pomeranians have two coats, an undercoat and a top coat;
the first is soft, thick, and fluffy; the top coat is a long,
straight and glistening coat covering the whole
body. The undercoat is shed during warm weather conditions.
